Thursday Novice Social

When:  Thursday nights 6:30pm - 8:20pm.  This league runs in 2 separate sessions:  the Fall session (Oct - early Jan), and the Winter session (Jan - early April).  Each session is approximately 11-12 weeks.  You can sign up for either the Fall or the Winter, or both.

Intended Audience:  This league is open to adult men or women with 5 years of curling experience or less, and a limited number of more experienced curlers .  We will allow one person on each team to have more than 5 years of experience to facilitate learning. The prerequisite would be a basic level of curling experience (for example the completion of our Curling 101 program), knowledge of game play and etiquette. 

Teams:  You enter this league as an individual and the League organizer (aka Drawmaster) will arrange the teams.  Teams are shuffled a few times during the season.  There will also be a spare list. 

Friday Novice Team League

When:  Friday nights 8:30pm - 10:15pm (all games are 6 ends).  This league runs in 2 separate sessions:  the Fall session (Oct - early Jan), and the Winter session (Jan - early April).  You can sign up for either the Fall or the Winter, or both.

Intended Audience:  This league is open to any combination of adult men or women.  It is intended for those with 5 years of curling experience or less.  We will allow one person on each team to have more than 5 years of experience to facilitate learning. The prerequisite would be a basic level of curling experience (for example the completion of our Curling 101 program), knowledge of game play and etiquette. 

Teams:  Build your own team, or let us find you a team. The league is open to a maximum of 10 teams (40 people). There will also be a spare list. 

Schedule:  Each session is approximately 11-12 weeks and will have a round-robin schedule followed by one or two weeks of playoffs.

Equipment:  For those requiring equipment, slip on sliders and brooms are available at no charge.   Loose fitting pants and a warm sweater or jacket are also recommended.
